I think I'm going to be in Beijing the 2nd week of September. Since I'm going by myself, I probably won't splurge on a nice hotel room like last time I went with my family. Last September, we stayed at the Park Plaza Wanfujing and rooms were ~$100 per night. It's a really nice hotel and relatively cheap compared to hotel prices in the US.
I asked a friend to send me some links to hotels and a lot are <$30 per night. I guess that's alright... I really just need 3 things:
1. Air conditioning
2. Broadband Internet connection
3. Sit-down toilet
Everything else is a luxury. So far, this place looks promising... only ¥189!
