My new car has a 6 CD changer that plays MP3 files. I burned ~70 songs on a CD-R and tried it out this morning. First, the car stereo does not display CJK characters so there were a lot of blank spaces. Next, the player only recognized 15 songs; it gave me an error message (forgot what it said) for the rest.
I looked in the manual and the MP3 file specs seem fine: 8kHz-48kHz and 8kbps-320kbps + VBR. Then I read the fine print under CD format:
Files saved using the Live File System component (on a Windows Vista operating system-based computer) are not supported.
Dang it. Doesn't anything work with Vista?!
